Yoeri’s paper “Lowering the threshold for bioelectronics” was published in Nature Materials. The News and View article highlights the work by Dion Khodagholy and collegues at Columbia University who have developed a high-speed, high-gain enhancement-mode ion-gated transistor that shows promise for low-power chronically implanted bioelectronic systems. Yoeri was elected as one of the 2019 MIT Technology Review innovators under 35 Europe for the BIOMORPHIC project. In this project we aim to develop smart lab-on-chips to classify cells using hardware-based AI.
During the Materials Technology (MaTe) event and poster contest, Setareh Kazemzadeh has won the best poster award. She had to defend her poster during a 2 minute brief presentation. Next to eternal fame she also won a cash prize.
Our paper describing the mechanism behind dedoping PEDOT:PSS by Aliphatic Polyamines is now out in @JPhysChem. Great collaboration with @asalleo and Rene Janssen. Link.
Yoeri was installed as a new member of the Eindhoven Young Academy of Engineering on September 18 in the presence of the rector prof. Frank Baaijens. The membership is for 5 years during which challenges – both scientifically as well as in society – will be discussed.
